List of 2024 divisions

Welcome to our list of divisions for the 2024-25 season. Please note that these are subject to prior sale and are limited to the quantities listed. One division per plant per customer, please. Note that names such as '1643 A' are not true clonal names, but merely internal reference numbers, and can be changed after consulting us. We prefer that these plants be picked up at the nursery or at a show; established plants in one-gallon pots or smaller may be shipped if not in spike. Prices are listed for plants not in spike; we reserve the right to adjust for plants in spike, especially in case of multiple spikes. Please send in all orders directly via email to casa@orquideas.com so we have an exact time in case of multiple requests for the same plant. Last updated 11/30/2024, 2:00 PM. This will likely be the final update of the season.

Photographs are provided when available. Thanks to Arthur Pinkers for providing many of the pictures.

Cym. aloifolium '#96' is a warm-growing Australian species. Small cream-colored flowers with a wide red stripe on fairly long, fast-developing pendent spikes. Can easily make a specimen plant. This is a warm grower and strongly prefers greenhouse conditions. Gallon(4) - $45
Cinnamon Twist 'Cinnamon' will give you very long spikes with lots of cinnamon-colored flowers for the holiday season. It's similar to the Lambert Day cross but is a better grower and makes very large plants. Diploid. Should be a capable warm grower. 2Gallon - $50
Emerald Dragon 'Lime' is a striking green sepal peloric with a large dark red patch on the lip. This is from the second making of the Emerald Dragon cross. 2Gallon - $75
Enchanted Bob 'Pinkie' is one of several nice plants of our spotted cross of (Enchanted Beach x Bob Marlin 'Shocking'). This one has more of a pink background color than the usual white, with most of the spotting concentrated at the base of the petals. 2Gallon - $45
Freak Out 'Wow' is probably the best from this cross of our sepal peloric hybrids. It has a light pink base color with red spotting and a strong yellow central stripe on the lip and lateral sepals. Very easy growing, should make a good specimen plant. Tetraploid for midseason.2Gallon - $60, 6"(4) - $50
Kurunda '1515B' is an additional plant from the cross that produced 'Lil Stinker'. Lots of little clear green flowers on long pendent spikes. Vigorous grower, should be warmth tolerant. Spicy fragrance. 6"(2) - $40, Gallon - $45
Cym. Splatters 'Flamenco' HCC-AD/AOS AD/CSA is a free blooming creamy pink 4" flower covered with burgundy spots and a dark burgundy red banded lip and up to 20 flowers on a long arching spike. The spike can produce small branches at the base which flower a month later than the main spike. This is one of the few cymbidiums to receive an AD/AOS. Fairly compact growing diploid. Gallon - $125
(Dream Catcher x Greek Goddess) '1982H' is from a cross that has produced a lot of nice patterned seedlings. This one has a U-shaped dark pink pattern on the sepals and a central stripe on the petals over a white background. Gallon - $40
(Dream Catcher x Rincon Peak) '1981H' is from another in our recent line of patterned breeding. All of these have some degree of pink to red patterning over a white background; some are really eye-catching! Gallon - $40
(Dream Catcher x Valley Splash) '1963G' is from a cross that has produced a lot of nice patterned seedlings. This will have a soft pink pattern over a white background. Gallon(3) - $40
(Dream Catcher x Valley Splash) '1963I' is from a cross that has produced a lot of nice patterned seedlings. This one has a very soft pink pattern over a white background, more pronounced on the sepals, and a very narrow white picotee around the medium red banded lip. Gallon - $35
(Everett Stockstill x Marie Bashir) '1975B' is from a recent cross we made to try to add spotting to our line of patterned cymbidiums. The spotting didn't take, but these should still have a nice red pattern over a yellow background. 6"(2) - $35
(Joint Venture x Louise Hay) '2004B' is from a cross of two large-flowered round clear yellows. Gallon - $30
(Piņata x Pywacket) 'Quetzalcoatl' is an interesting recent spotted hybrid of ours. The flowers have a brick red overlay over a yellow background with lots of dark spotting, and a strongly burgundy spotted lip. 6" - $50
(Rincon Peak x Valley Splash) '1813A' is an interesting pink over white overlay. Much of the darker pink we would expect from Rincon Peak actually manifested as very fine pinpoint spotting. Gallon(2) - $40
(Ruby Lips x Skukuza) '1961B' was made with the spotted Ruby Lips 'Harlequin', so this will have some fine medium red spotting over a lighter red background. It also has some interesting dark red spotting on the lip, merging together on the central lobe. Gallon - $35
(Scooby Doo x Karen) '2102B' is from a cross that we made to produced more patterned seedlings. Scooby Doo is a yellow with some red markings, while Karen is an interesting pale orange. Gallon(2) - $35
(Skukuza x Splatters) '1841C' is a strongly spotted new flower of ours. Pink background with lots of darker red spotting. Part of the group that earned the Schaefer Trophy for Best Group of 5 First Blooming Seedlings at the 2018 Santa Barbara show. 2Gallon - $50
(Woody Wilson x Soft Kitty) '2115A' is from a cross that we made to get big whites, but this one was a bit of a surprise. It has a pale pink blush, most notably on the lateral sepals. The lips has some red spotting with a pale pink blush. 6" - $30
